Kiwi was my sister Mary’s sheltie. The two were inseparable. Sadly, Kiwi’s sweet life was cut short due to kidney failure. This painting is done freehand using a photograph for reference. With each strand of fur, the expression and sparkle in her eyes, down to the cute nose, I felt like I was bringing Kiwi back to life in a way that memorializes her forever.
